Constructed of a sturdy board material; glossy white on front and rough grain on reverse side. Puzzles come preassembled and stay together until taken apart. You can print an unique Halloween and Christmas picture on it. The mats have straight cut, non-beveled edges. It has same scraps of cardboard when you first use it.
